CHARGING TROLLEYS

Visiting HAWE Hydraulik

Recently, we visited HAWE Hydraulik in Kaufbeuren. The company supplies the hydraulics for many Genkinger vehicles, and we ensure smooth material flow in the heat-treatment shop.

The Genkinger charging trolley has been in use there since the plant opened in 2014 and handles heavy components every day in shift operation—so-called batches—in two heat-treatment bays. The maximum batch weight is 3,500 kg, distributed across three fork tines of 2,200 mm.

What makes charging trolleys special is that not only is the load very sensitive, but so is the interior of the furnaces into which the batches are loaded.

Like all Genkinger bAKA vehicles, the charging trolley is equipped with many useful details that work together to ensure that employees and loads are safe at all times:

Guide rollers on the left and right of the vehicle, and a stop, guarantee the correct position during pick-up and in the furnace.

A lift stop protects the upper part of the furnace from damage.

A lowering lock prevents the lower part of the furnace from being damaged—even if the hydraulics were to fail.
