Compact Tool Change Cart
Increased Safety Requirements
A manufacturer of radiators for the automotive industry had the requirement to safely transport and change tall and narrow tools with a compact tool change cart. The previous system with an attachment on a forklift was no longer safe enough.
A compact, maneuverable changer with a push-pull mechanism for the tool was the answer to the task. Additional securing with tie-down straps keeps the load safely on the vehicle even in unforeseen situations such as emergency braking. In this application as well, the radio remote control is the key to operation by just one person. No one is needed for guidance.
The total weight and dimensions had to be kept as small as possible in order to fit in the existing elevator to reach the tool storage area.
