Transport Solution for Heavy Cable Drums up to 20 Tons
For an international cable television provider, a customized transport vehicle was developed for the safe handling of large cable drums. The machine is deployed in Dubai and meets the highest requirements for load capacity, operating comfort, and flexibility.
The unit handles cable drums weighing up to 20 tons with diameters ranging from 2,000 to 3,600 mm. It is therefore ideally suited for large cable reels used in telecommunications and power supply applications.
Operation is performed either by remote control or conventionally via a drawbar. For drawbar operation, a foldable ride-on platform with lateral supports has been integrated. This provides additional safety and ergonomic working conditions over longer distances.
