Custom lift mast for an automated guided vehicle system
For an automated guided vehicle system in the beverage industry, we developed a custom lift mast for flexible pallet transport. When transporting beverage pallets within warehouses, standard solutions often reach their limits. Our customer needed an automated guided vehicle system that can flexibly pick up two pallets at the same time or a single pallet centered. A fast and safe process was essential.
To achieve this, we developed a specially designed lift mast with two pairs of forks and a fork positioner. The lifting unit enables the parallel pick-up of two pallets as well as the centered pick-up of a single pallet by automatically moving the forks together.
The project was developed in close cooperation with the customer. Requirements, environmental conditions, and interfaces were coordinated jointly as early as the design phase.
This resulted in a tailored lifting unit for an automated guided vehicle system, optimally matched to the conditions in the warehouse and the high throughput rates in the beverage warehouse.
