Efficiency in interaction
At a manufacturer of stamped parts, customer orders changed—smaller call-off quantities combined with a wider product range. As a result, the setup times of the stamping presses were to be reduced. In addition to the existing Genkinger tool change cart, a second 16 t multi-directional tool changer was purchased. Working together, the two vehicles operate particularly quickly and efficiently. During tool changeover, one vehicle removes the tool from the machine while the second change cart is already standing by with the new tool. Using two tool changers reduces setup times and simultaneously increases process availability.
