Internal Container Transport
In addition to its well-known high-pressure cleaners, Kärcher also builds mobile systems that are installed in standard shipping containers and used worldwide. To bring the still-empty containers into production and transport the finished containers for shipping, a Genkinger bAKA transport platform with lift was acquired.
The platform truck drives under a container with the lift lowered and raises it clear. The container’s support feet are then removed and the journey to production begins. There, the container is set down and picked up again after completion.
Despite generous floor space, there is a shortage of room due to strong order volumes. Therefore, maneuverability of the transporter is particularly important.
With various steering programs such as transverse, diagonal, and circular travel, maneuvering in combination with the radio remote control becomes child’s play.
