Millimeter-level accuracy during tool changes
Increasing product variety prompted a manufacturer of connectors to rethink the storage, transport, and changing of its tools. Placing the tools on lift tables and pushing them into the stamping machines by hand no longer seemed contemporary. However, one challenge was that the access points to the tightly enclosed, sound-absorbing automatic stamping machines are only 1 m wide.
Together with Genkinger, two multi-directional platform trucks were designed that meet the requirements for dimensions as well as safety, including through:
- The large lifting range enables use on various automatic stamping machines.
- Tool securing system, coupled with the traction drive
- Hydraulic roller bars for easy tool transfer Radio remote control
