Secure and Space-Saving Round Tools
Moving round tools securely and space-efficiently was the central task for an industrial company in Northern Germany that uses large ring tools for manufacturing sealing rings. The Genkinger device features several intricate details, but the biggest challenge was to accommodate the low floor load capacity while considering the vehicle’s total weight. Furthermore, tight space conditions had to be taken into account to move the large rings safely and efficiently. A crank clamps the ring tool onto the platform.
It has three defined positions:
- Almost vertical for loading vertically suspended tools using a crane
- Inclined, to minimize the width of the vehicle for gate passages
- Horizontal for transfer to the machine
